Mr. Robinson started selling cars in January 1970 at Sellers Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Meridian, Mississippi. He worked for several other dealerships in Management positions while trying to achieve the goals he set for himself. In October 1978, Mr. Robinson moved his family to Hammond, Louisiana, where he worked for Dick Durham at Durham Pontiac, Cadillac, GMC, and Toyota. Mr. Durham knew Mr. Robinson’s goal was to own a dealership. In 1984 he helped him find a great opportunity in a great city. When Mr. Robinson tells people about his experience in the automotive industry, he always includes how fortunate he was to work for someone like Mr. Durham and how Mr. Durham treated him better than most families treat one another.
