We are a set of moms who get an endorphin rush out of helping people - especially those who are often overlooked - we root for the underdog. We care deeply, and while we may be very blunt, we are kind. Our mantra really is “do no harm but take no poopie”
Courtney worked for MinistrySafe, which is an organization centered on making sure that churches and other child serving orgs were protected against inadvertently hiring volunteers or employees that would harm children. While she has since departed from the company, she still remains an advocate and ally for those who have been victimized by sex crimes. Courtney has been in the thick of being a survivor, she’s very much so versed in empathy.
Amanda is a PTA president and Jill of many trades - a cook, baker, pta mom, tv aficionado and deeply curious about life. Amanda has another podcast called “Fandom Family Chats” as well as a third podcast she does with Courtney called “not so nefarious criminals - crimes that take on the essence of Florida man”. Her ideal night includes having some wine and watching a good tv show or true crime documentary. She has four cats and two dogs.
Courtney noticed that Amanda had a podcast already, and since they both consumed true crime, thought it would be interesting and super easy to start a true crime podcast. While it is interesting, Courtney was wrong about it being easy. We started out as “true crime and paranormal with comedy” but have since niched down to focus on crimes against those deemed especially vulnerable - this is most often crimes against those victims who are often overlooked or over judged by society or law enforcement. We have had a massive wake up call and completely changed our format and theme (and attitude) since our Minding The Beehive series in season two and have never looked back since.
