As an adult, the bug bit pretty hard when I was cast as 1 of 4 female dancer/singers in the musical, Evita! Born a Los Angeles and California native, I never thought about being an actress though my grandfather was an actor in many westerns in the 70's and grandmother a musical director at the Million Dollar Theater for years. I moved to Dallas as a teen, very shy and often trembled before class to give a presentation, so at the time, it was not yet revealed that this is what I would go on to do. I did, however, LOVE to dance! I feel that dancing was my performance gateway drug of choice. Once I got on stage, the buzz of creativity was unbelievably satisfying, so, when Evita! wrapped, I immediately secured a film class and signed up to volunteer at the Dallas Independent Film Festival. I later realized that the acting coach who I was going to meet the following week for my 1st day of acting class was also the 1st person I would escort to their theater at DIFF. The was there.
