Hey all! Curious- For your business, how did you go about picking a payment processor for taking payments?
What ended up being the deciding factor?

Most business owners I work with will use stripe, square, paypal or venmo. Giving the consumers more options tends to make receiving payments easier. Many of my clients utilize a business software with integrations with these credit card processing companies
Deciding factor was Integration with website, banking, accounting software, others: Time to process payments to bank account, fee structure & cost.
I agree with Tom! He hit all points here!
You know, I strongly feel it is about all those things, but at the end of the day a real person to assist and support should be a factor as well.
keep in mind that if you use companies like square, you don’t actually have a merchant account. You are part of a purchasing pool. If you ever have a charge back or other issues it can be a lot more difficult to get your funds back. Go with a company that is transparent and gives you a merchant account. I don’t work in the space but have had a lot of experience. And I have good contacts
I just call Steven Morris and leave everything up to him.

I use whatever the integration for the sites that I use. For example, for my Etsy stores, I use Paypal and for my websites, I use Paypal, Stripe, Square and Shift4 credit card payment merchant services.
For our first credit card processor, we took any company that would approve us. From that point, we focused on price to bring down the costs. PayPal was our first processor.
We look at processing fees, funding speed and whether they can integrate with our POS. We also like to know who the back end processor actually is
I use multiple PayPal, square, & stripe. I really like square
