For me it is prayer, getting out of my mind, and trying to surround myself with positivity. Depending on how tough the situation is, crying can help too, lol.
Tony Robbins once said, "winter isn't forever." In business you will experience challenges , its the way you handle them what makes a difference. Consider a challenge as an opportunity to grow and learn. Always keep your eye on the prize.
I have employees. Four of them are related to me, two of them have been with me over 30 years and the others are just starting out. I learned long ago that I am not the only brick in the castle. We all brainstorm ways to save and make money and then we all get to work. After 87 years of ups and downs and changing from everything being hand done to computer aided, we have seen a lot of changes but the core of the business is the same. Having everyone brainstorm brings solutions that my 58 year old brain would not have come up with at all. It is also good because everyone is invested in keeping their jobs. Instead of worrying, they have the opportunity to make suggestions and help create a better business that will be around for the 4th generation.
Pretty simple, I just think of when I was younger working 2 jobs, sandblasting and horseshoeing, living off corn dogs, splitting firewood, working 7 days a week. I don't plan on ever going back to that situation so I get up early, have coffee, feed my horses and come down to Colorado Springs to make love with the public. I'm motivated then!
Have a larger mission in mind than meeting your expenses or growing your business. If you don't have something that is fulfilling then it is more challenging to stay motivated.
What's your mission? Serving the best food in your community? Helping poor mothers care for their kids? Preventing tons of pollution? Building houses that people love to live in?
I'm not judging what your mission is, but I encourage people to choose one and keep their eye on the prize, and that it have more meaning than dollar signs.
Think of people in other countries who are poor and desolate or those in our own country who have some of the same issues.
Things could always be worse. We live in a reasonable country with decent opportunities. Appreciating what we do have is my motivation. Appreciating good family members knowing they're safe and healthy.
There is alot more to live for than just work.

Not that everything happens right away but patience will help.
With a great team to support you and give encouragement. Also, always keeping your goals in mind. Even just the smallest thing is a win. I am also experiencing a slow down of clients and wondering why.
By keeping the goal of success in mind. We are currently experiencing slowing sales, but are having to maintain maximum staffing to ward off an organized theft ring. Add to that serious health problems and impending TXDOT construction that will disrupt business and may claim part of the property. Fortunately, my employees are capable and loyal. We will be adding a storage building for passive income to offset loss of foot traffic during construction. We all brainstorm on ways to improve the business. We are determined to succeed.
