I appreciate what everyone has shared here — especially the point that every business owner needs a strategy that actually fits who they are. Rick, I agree with you on that. I’ve tried just about every outreach method over the years, and none of the usual “tricks of the trade” matched my personality until I stepped into podcasting.
As a business coach and a new podcaster, I’ve found that conversations are where I do my best work. And you don’t have to host a show to benefit from podcasting — there are plenty of podcasters looking for guests, and some even need co‑hosts. For the right person, it can be the soupe du jour — or maybe the soup du sure — the thing that finally clicks.
For my own show, I only take one guest per service category each month. One week it might be an accountant, the next a business coach, the next a home detailer, and so on. It keeps the conversations fresh and gives each guest space to shine.
If anyone here thinks they might be a good fit for a future episode, here’s the link to the short pre‑screening step: Bold-PathwayLLC.com/booking
I’d be glad to see if we’re a good match for a broadcast.
As a professional marketer with 27 years experience, here';s the RIGHT ANSWER:
1. Anyone giving you specific answers here should be ignored, because they have ZERO information about your product or service.
2. Vague answers may be correct, but only because the question being asked is not specific enough to be able to answer.
3. Every business is like a fingerprint, and needs to have a strategy put together for them, specifically.
4. let's connect! shoot me a message, tell me more about your business, product, target, service, area you're in, etc. I'll put together a quick 5 minute marketing strategy for you, for free
I find, and I'm obviously bias, that Podcasting is a hidden gem for getting your business found and generating some ROI for what you do. But again... I'm obviously bias! LOL
I find commenting on people's posts the most effective marketing tool, and just sending out a marketing piece is too easy. If you take the time and trouble to comment on Social Media, they believe in you.
Most cost effective marketing strategy that works with everyone or every business, that is what you are asking, right?
The most cost effective way is to communicate with every existing client using the handwritten note on letterhead. Why? Because it builds "TRUST" the most expensive currency in this digital world of today. Plus it shows effort, and the more personal it is the more powerful the letter will be.
Try one today and see the response, if it works make it a 5 minute habit at the end of the day and write 3 to 5 new letters each day. No need for fancy consultants just a simple way of saying thank you to your clients. Just MHO...RR
For me, the most cost-effective marketing strategy has been focusing on organic social media and building real relationships in the community. Posting useful content, sharing updates, and interacting with local groups can get your name out there without spending much. I also love partnerships with other small businesses—it’s free, helps you reach new audiences, and just feels good supporting each other. Consistency and genuine community engagement always seem to give the best ROI for small budgets!
For most small businesses, the biggest ROI comes from a strong online presence clear branding, a clean website, and consistent social content. It builds trust faster than anything. If anyone wants quick budget-friendly ideas tailored to their niche happy to share what’s been working for my clients.
