In a culture that redefines masculinity every few years, what pressures are you carrying as a man in business — provider, leader, husband, father — that you don’t feel safe talking about in the boardroom?

knocking back a man's masculinity disrupts the natural order of things.  The man is the lion king.  if a criminal is coming thru the window at one's home, it's not the child's responsibility, nor the wife's responsibility.  it's understood that the man of the house, the spiritual leader, the lion king takes on that task. No hesitation, if you went to fetch him, he's already on target mitigating or stopping the invasion.  In the family, it doesn't mean the man is better than the woman, it's just his role.  He is built for this role.  Hence, i carry no pressures in any venue, situation, public or private.  I am always open to that discussion.

I believe a man’s role in a family includes being a steady source of protection, responsibility, and leadership. In a crisis—like someone breaking into the home—it’s understood that the adult who is best positioned to respond steps forward immediately.  The Lion King.   In many families, the man often takes on that protective role, not because he is “better,” but because he sees it as part of his responsibility to safeguard the people he loves.

This doesn’t diminish the strength or capability of anyone else in the household. It simply reflects how some families divide responsibilities based on temperament, readiness, and shared expectations. For me, that sense of duty removes pressure rather than adds to it. I know who I am, I know what I’m prepared to handle, and I’m always open to discussing how these roles work in a healthy, respectful way.

Thanks for answering Stacey. I posed the question to see overall how guys felt on this topic.

Personaly, my identity is that of my father and grandfather which is in line with Richard Cooper, Joby Martin and Jason Wilson. My view is that through out the last 40 - 50 years men have been encouraged to become complacent, neglectful and comfortable where it has become a  generational break down not only at home, but socially as well.

There's a distinct natural order to masculine/ feminine energy and it got politically - socially twisted which has resulted in this crisis today.
