I have a queston for those who are on tiktok. I've been using tiktok consistently for almost a year and just had a video go viral (over 350k views) and got lots of comments, which have been a lot to keep with! It's translated to getting lots of new followers, boosting my other posts, and also people going to my linked Instagram page and following me there. My question is: I'm nervous about posting again...should I wait until the hoopla dies down or go ahead and post? (My niche is midlife health/wellness. If you want to see the video, I'm @midlifehealthcoach or Kim Dechert).
Thank you!

Stay consistent. You may see you don't go viral again and that's ok. Just leverage the traffic you do get but most importantly you need to consider how to capture the traffic that is most valuable to the growth of your business
I have had huge success on TikTok, just keep on posting. I post twice a day religiously. No matter what a previous post does, it is in the past. Keep the momentum wave going.
Congrats on a viral post, Kim Dechert! This is a great gauge of what people are interested in or talking about. I say triple down and keep posting content of that nature - anti-aging for women over 50, over 60, mid-life beauty, etc. Makeup tutorials for over 60, what masks you use, your beauty routines with products. I am a TikTok marketer so my advice is to keep those posts coming and keep them valuable and comment-provoking! :)
Hey Kim DechertYes, you should definitely post and keep your account active. Having interactions on your post is the sign that people would love more content from your end. You can post everyday or every other day based on your preferences & how much content you have ready. So is the video or your content informative or to create awareness?
I'd keep posting!
You have momentum, keep posting! Posting activity us very important ESPECIALLY at times when another post is viral.
When it comes to social media - be intentional... your video went viral - GREAT! CONGRATULATIONS! but how about all the other videos before that? Was the content intentional? Was the message clear?
Using social media as a business tool, means delivering good quality content every time! Not with the hopes of going viral, but with the goal of reaching your client that will trust in your brand and repeatedly purchase your services. That process is constant and consistent. Anything other than that is - purely just for fun!
Wow! Congratulations, so exciting. The most important thing is to be consistent, so no matter how you choose to proceed be consistent. (i.e. Every Tuesday at noon). / I know an Instagram blogger who has written a book about the platform, she publishes each Friday and only on Fridays, get tons of engagement, shares, etc... This gives her time to respond to pertinent comments, review the analytics and plan for her next post. Best of Luck! (BTW I'm on TikTok , not for business, but would love to check out your account. what's your TikTok , name)
As I develop my homage to my grandfather and his work, I am going tepidly into social media platforms. I recently started on Instagram and I am building a website. But as I have a teenager who has many friends who are on TikTok, I have spent a few years researching the platform. This is not a political post, it is simply my opinion of this platform. My background is in law, in particular my passion is First Amendment law. As TikTok is owned and for the most part controlled by a Chinese corporation with a 70% of it Board members sitting as part of the Chinese government, I am extremely hesitant to join TikTok, EVEN though the corporation that operates a portion of it is in the US. I am NOT a conspiracy type of person. I STRONGLY believe in the 1st Amendment. I have seen TikTok posts that have been taken down because the Chinese government does not agree with its content. Hence, since I live in the US with a Constitution that guarantees my First Amendment rights, even to say or create art against my government and against other governments, the Chinese government can take those TikTok posts down against my freedoms. Though I am not directly an artist, I believe artists should have a fundamental right to their free speech unhindered by another government. But if TikTok is right for you and your work and you are not concerned about being tracked ( which is what TikTok does do) then I think it is a wonderful platform to express your work and enhance your creativity and get more visibility. It is what each individual is comfortable with. I am not comfortable with a foreign autocratic government dictating my speech and expression. This is different from when private platforms or the government have put guardrails around certain types of speech and expression, such as "hate speech," which is harmful to communities and society. My apologies if this sounds preachy or weird and I understand if the administrator takes it down.
Post again soon!
