As is apparent by this question, seems most people don’t understand inflation means prices are still going up. It would only feel better if prices were going down, which would mean we’re in a recession, which would feel even worse.
Way too much exaggeration going on imo. Things aren't terrible and the effects of Covid are evening out in most areas. Cost of food is down from last year. People sure love price gouging though; fear is like a drug.
If you cause inflation to rise 500% and then pat yourself on the back when it comes down 65%...you insult the intelligence of those who realize INFLATION IS STILL UP 120%
Spending is way down for our businesses. People just don't have much money so our prices have been forced down, sales are down and cash flow is in serious trouble for a lot of folks right now.
Oreos are still $5 a pack and I think they are putting less filling in the middle! 🤔
