As a wedding and event planner I have always taken safety seriously . That being said, I opted not to do take any in person business for any events that did not follow COVID guidelines for my state. Now that there is a light at the end of tunnel, I acknowledge that I will need to rebuild my business to evolve into a more sustainable model. My hope that the entire industry will have learned something for the past year and will take stock in how our industry operates.
We've spent the time shifting our planning and design services to engaging virtual events. Innovative Party Planners has officially launched a new division focused on virtual events, Innovative Virtual Events. In addition we are shipping out decor, and designing decor and coordinating swag for outdoor micro events.
Being in the wedding industry during covid has been so upsetting. I’ve seen many other business just close up shop because of the pandemic. But, I think the light at the end up the tunnel is beginning to emerge. Our bookings are starting to pickup and our next season is booking up faster than ever!! Good luck to everyone out there and I hope these new seasons bring better success!!
Live events are of course slow to none but have been planning micro weddings with a lot more creative intimate ideas for the couple to celebrate, virtual events. Took the time to refurbish the website and continuing to build on it. Networking with peers in the same field has been great. Hoping this year will be more fruitful!
Hey there, I am the owner of A Vision from Shaye Event Planning Boutique and we have pivoted and added virtual and drive events, as well as our most successful service, The Date Night Experience. With more people working form home and apprehensive about going out, we offer a romantic evening in the comfort of your home. We have developed 5 packages for couples to choose from which most offers a three course meal, dessert, a custom music playlist and more.
Our social events are definitely picking up, but business and nonprofit events are proving slower to dip their toes back in. We planned several community events during our lean times (craft fairs, concerts, business expos, etc.). We also upgraded our audio visual systems to accommodate virtual and hybrid live/virtual events.
We are new to the event industry. We own an 1875 home Hughson Hall Bed and Breakfast which has been rated by Trip Advisor as the #1 Luxury B&B in Stratford, ON. Canada. With the Stratford Festival presenting us with the less than normal flow of overnight accommodations from guests, we have opened up our home and grounds to host more weddings, elopements and events. Bookings are just starting to come in.
We have a outside venue. We are going to continue to have our events this year. We will have all methods to cover covid restrictions. Contact me is you need a venue
