A) I am on a lease for my karate studio and my attendance dropped by 98 percent. I also had an after-school program, but since school shut down, that has affected also my revenues. My average number per class varied from 5 to 19 students.  The provincial and federal governments prohibit people in many ways to work. You send emails to them and you get the running around or they don't reply at all.  Now, for my business,  I am thinking of using Google Meet or Zoom so I can continue to offer classes. I am also thinking of recording classes and put them on my website or on CDs for my students. Those are options I am looking into.

Time Management: With stress levels high with Coronavirus fears I don't believe it's healthy to have your phone in your hand or TV on news stations all day. Since most of us are home vs. at work, I believe scheduling your day with changing activity will bring some satisfaction of accomplishment as apposed to worrying about what is not getting done on the job or what you can't control. If you can work from home great, but divide you day with exercise, nutrition, rest... meditation if you can and communicate with friends and family. Give each activity equal time.

This is also a good time to stop worrying about money. Yes, I feel the pinch too, but life will return to normal. I took an hour this morning and called all my creditors to say I'm going to be late and need time to recover. All understood and we're willing to grant grace periods. Boom! Done. I can breathe better and get on with my day.

So try not to be afraid...stay busy.

Things are not good for most businesses.I know I’m a marketing business and this sounds self serving but study after study for many decades and economic cycles prove that advertising through the down periods brings big results as times improve.

If everyone pulls their marketing and you keep going, you stand out. You prove to people you are not going anywhere. That is fantastic for TOMA both in bad and good times. Second, if you are waiting for the good times to roll in before you market you will have missed your opportunity to grab market share. You must stay ahead of this thing by consistently and frequently telling your customers to buy from you.

If you try to guess when to jump back in it’s no different than the stock market. You will miss it!!!!

Everybody’s situation is different but if you are in business you have to advertise. If economic times are bad you a MUST advertise. Good luck to all and we will get through this.

Do whatever is possible to keep yourself and your staff away from contact with others, that is the only way to bring this to an end sooner than later.   Shop on-line with small local businesses.  They will be filling orders with one person, probably the owner themselves, in a safe environment - not like an Amazon/Whole Foods distribution center filled with workers scrambling to get orders out.

It's time to look inside ourselves and in how we are doing things. It's time to do whatever we never have time to do. Let's stay positives and in peace. I'm sure we all will find the way out, taking the best of this dream we're living. Do not make it a nightmare. It's not about the events, but what we think about them.

This is a serious time for everyone. But remember it will pass, and life will go back to normal. Do not let the negative information make you depressed. Be positive, especially to your children, work on different projects with them. The people of the United States have always overcome disasters. Our government, hospitals are in better shape to care for us then ever before.  we help each other, we pray. Use this time if you are home to clean, organize, make calls, check on neighbors. Fix things in your house/yard. I have been in the Real Estate business for over 25 years, it goes up and down, don't panic, go on with your plans if you are going to buy or sell, or use the time to get the house ready to sell. Make repairs, paint if necessary. If you need advice regarding real estate, contact me.

This is a time to be thankful for what we DO have. Panic and fear create more panic and fear. "We become what we think about." All the world religions advocate "Love."  Send thoughts of love and healing out into the Universe. (this is not New Age or LOA) It is the basis of all religions. Love is not mystic it is just well-wishing, hope, and positive thinking. Thank you for listening. Scott H.  [email address]

A lot of questions, social distancing, liability concerns and possibility of spreading this further. Everyone has to do all they can to stop the spread. My client’s are like family and at this time I have asked them to stay healthy, safe and be positive. We have to stop spreading this. Let’s get rid of this ASAP!! Stay Healthy Everyone

The most important thing for now as leaders are asking ... is to do our part individually by staying home if we can, and by not being greedy when we shop for supplies.  It may be harder for some so it is important to touch base with those we know and offer whatever we can to help.  We will get through this - hopefully with as few losses in human life as possible.

California is basically on a shut down for businesses that don't supply "essential services".  Showing homes, representing our sellers may not be considered essential.  I have a co-worker who has lost two transactions recently because the buyers were laid off.  We're trying to be creative in the way we show homes and continue to do as much for our clients as we can. Virtual tours may become the sort-term normal.
