In the last decade I've never cleaned a dang thing with my cell phone. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to make or take a call in that time - and every one of those calls was measured in seconds, not minutes.

At Agathos Commercial Cleaning, we feel it has Good and not so Good applications. We used cell phones for location tracking and time managnment for each job. Depending on the client, our timing for each job, and how much the cleaner can be trusted at the job. So clear cut yes - no answers, do not apply to us. Would be nice to hear what others would say...

No, it is unprofessional to be on the job and talking or texting on your phone. If there is an emergency or I need to get a hold of a team member...they should remove themselves from the home before answering. If it is something that can wait until they are done with the job, that should be the course they should take.

no, not while in the home. Travel to and from yes.

No. If they're expecting a call or receive and emergency call they're to excuse themselves for a moment to resolve whatever the issue. Cell phones on the job site is just so unprofessional. Especially if the client is there.
