What are your thoughts about another stimulus package as Congress debates? How would it affect your business?

I would not apply for stimulus money my business will survive without more handouts. there is a lot of work out there all we need is people willing to work. Congress should take a serious look at what they are spending, this money needs to paid back. Whats the plan for that? higher taxes? That we don't need

Another stimulus will not really help or hurt my business.  As a self-employed Realtor, I don't have payroll or payroll related expenses.  I don't really qualify for any of the proposed stimulus packages. 

And honestly, I am disgusted by the lack of care or concern for the citizens, by our elected officials.  Using this time as a means to propagate a specific political motivation is absurd.  Their job is to represent the general public and the only thing they represent is their own personal position in whichever party they belong to.

I really feel that the Senators should not get paid until they pass some kind of a bill to help, individuals and businesses.  They are getting paid and acting like we the people work for them instead of them working for us.

As a small business devastated by the virus I would welcome the aid.  The Travel Industry has ben decimated by the restrictions.  Most travel agencies are closed or are running without any pay.  We are borrowing to pay the bills.  I do however, worry about the debt our county is running.  Maybe those that took the original money but were not effected should give their stimulus back to assist those who are actually effected.  There were so so many that took money but their business was not burdened.  I personally know about several that used the money to pay off previous debt since they did not lose any business.  It was just free money so they applied.

I would, just to give me more working capital.  I would hold it in reserve and pay it back when this passes.  I actually am not concerned about the lack of consensus at this time, as there is too much baggage being added, i.e., removing the ID requirement for voting.  The bill should only provide funding, PERIOD!  None of the "normal" add-ons that have nothing to do with the need.

I love that the people not affected just say "go back to work", or "just get a job"..........it shows the absolute tone deaf ness of some, and why the virus is not going away soon.  People are struggling! I would personally not apply for stimulous money, but alot of folks are really, really hurting, still! I think a new round of stimulous money is needed.

I would welcome another aid package. I see comments about able bodied people going out and getting work. The issue I have with this is that I built a very good business and COVID has scared people away.

Even if I go out and find other work, I still have all my Equipment, Facility, Insurance expenses, etc. 

Some business's have flourished and some are being destroyed by Covid.  Construction has flourished because of cheap money and people staying home and finding projects, Tech is going crazy and several others, but  a huge number of business's have lost 1/2 or more of sales and that cannot simply continue.   If the Country  can't get back to work pretty soon it might well all fall apart.   

I don’t need a stimulus but many people need help. If states will open up then people will get back to work. Stop the idea of fear so people will get back to normal. I think if so many so called essential businesses are operating then so should Congress? Are they not essential? Maybe not. Maybe states should give money back to all the mom and pop businesses they destroyed by the shut downs. Sad to see restaurants gone that we enjoyed. Give them the money to reopen! I don’t need a stimulus but when airlines and other businesses are laying off hundreds of thousands of workers then maybe the House should get something done for them. Cowards in Congress using COVID to stay home and do nothing. We should stop paying them if they don’t want to work. Wear the mask and social distance as you mandate us to do and get back in your chairs, stop the power show and the adolescent bullying of The peoples House. I pray decency will return and our country will not be destroyed from within. The Federal government can’t do everything but they are trying to help those in need while some states continue to use abuse of their  power to destroy our rights and scare us into a COVID life of submission as we continue to wonder why. God bless us as we wait for common sense and decency to return!

I would not apply for more funding. 

We have more work coming in than we can handle. I, and many of my business colleagues in MI are struggling to find enough employees to manage the work. The buzz is that there are so many unemployed workers, in actuality what hurts the most is that there is so much unemployment compensation being given out that many people don't need to seek employment. Seems to be easier to stay home and collect unemployment. I am offering high wages, compensation and flexible schedule, and can hardly get someone to answer a help wanted ad.

Congress needs to continue unemployment compensation for those that need it, but to not give out so much more over and above. This does not incentivize people to go back to work.
