Does your nursery school or daycare provider have a COVID-19 Waiver for parents to sign?

We have our parents sign a Community Safety Pledge for Covid-19.

Our school isn't requiring a signed waiver, but once school is in session in September, staff, parents and children will need to screen for health and safety on a daily basis. The survey may be completed on paper, but we are asking parents to complete an online form prior to dropping off children at school. As many have mentioned on this forum, parents understand that there are risks whenever their children leave home, whether from COVID, environment, accidents, etc.... No one can be 100% safe all of the time, but with the precautions and cleaning/safety protocols required in Massachusetts, our school is prepared when our doors reopen in a few weeks.

Yes we have a waiver to sign and a handbook.

We use COVID-19 Parent Responsibilities and Consent for new families and returning families. We also have a similar form for the staff.

Yes we provided a waiver on the first day we reopened to all staff and parents.  We are also doing temp checks of the children before entry, requiring masks to children 3 and up as long as they can put on and take off without help and not letting parents past entry at dropoff and pickup, which they must do in a mask.  Hope this helps.

We spoke to our insurance carrier who provided us with a horribly scary waiver (like 8 pages with the word "death" in it a few times - not something I wanted to share with our parents).  So, I spoke with our lawyer and she recommended this:

I am a Preschool Director, and my school has a waiver.

Licensing required all licensee's to review their health &  safety protocol  when covid 19 hit and continues to education providers through a "pin" system with guidelines and changes as they become available. Most of the safety measures were already in place, however, many have been placed in writing via signs, contracts and written notices to families. Enforcement of our health policy has been aggressive. We adopted the changes in the form of a letter and asked all incoming fall 2020-21 parents to review and sign so that they could be reminded of the policies already enforce  and informed of new ones. Parents were all provided with a copy, children have all been educated on hand cleaning, and the importance of self care.

All families in our environment have been supportive. It is very tough to ask a child with the sniffles, or slight cough to stay out of the environment for the length of as long as two weeks ( as the symptoms can appear) however, illness overall are way down this year. We have tried our best to make up absences by allowing part timers to make up time they have missed when others are not present. The full-time children that miss we have tried to give a discount to the next month tuition if we cannot make up time. It isn't something that is easy to do if the parents rely on a preschool for actual daycare. However at signing of enrollment all policies are explained and as much as we try to be flexible most parents try to be understanding. It takes a village  and today's world we all need to give and take.

Our Preschool is preparing a waiver that will encompass Preschool students and our new Alternative School Age Program beginning next week. The waiver helps parents to understand what we can do at Legacy Academy in Chapel Hill, what we are doing to reduce the spread of Corona virus, and what parents should do as well. 

we haven't done so. Our Insurance company advised us not to do that.

I would like to see one for sure if somebody has an example.
