Companies are going to want to know "who your audience is". They want to connect with their "ideal client" and this can be for many different reasons. You will need to come up with offerings that will interest your sponsor and connect them with their audience. This can also be a large range of specific items or combination of offerings based on their sponsorship in return. Typically the "logo soup" method does not give companies a Return On Investment (ROI). Placing logos on everything in print or signs, just doesn't get companies the exposure and interaction that they want any longer. My recommendation would be to have options and customize their items for each company, as everyone's needs are different. I'd be happy to talk to you further about this. Best of luck on your event!
Adding on to Veronica’s answer, social media should be a huge component of your pageant marketing. Create engaging posts across all social media outlets and reference your sponsors in those posts. Print media and brochures are dead. Visit your sponsors offices and create short video clips for Instagram and Facebook that tell who they are and give them credit and exposure.
Look to those who might have some sort of connection to contestants or their families, For example, if a contestant lives in a housing addition, maybe the homeowners association would be a good sponsor or might their school or church also the employers of the contestants parents. Donors need to have an affinity to whom they are giving. Happy Celebrating?
If you have a Facebook Page put out a recommendation for sponsors the same on LinkedIn and Instagram utilize your social media then send letters/email to different organizations and corporations
To add to the great suggestions already given, reach out to local businesses as a way to give back to their local community. And if you do not currently have different sponsorship packages, then think about creating different packages based on pricing (i.e. $500, $1000, $5000, etc...)
Lastly, if you need tangible items like stages, chairs, AV you may consider offering in-kind sponsorship packages for those who may not wish to give money. This way you still receive the items you need.
What I usually do when I am looking for sponsors for a certain event, I go through my contacts with an common interest on social media like IG. For instance, for a pageant, I would look in my up and coming designer or clothing line owners. They are always looking for visibility. Hope that helps!
You would have to reach out to different beauty supply stores and vendors asking for help. You can try different business owners also that way the6 can advertise their business along with sponsoring you.
