consult an tax accountant and ask about setting up an ‘S’ corp if you are starting up a brokerage firm. Would not advise doing it yourself..just like we tell fisbos that ‘selling a home on their own makes very little sense’ . the knowledge a professional has is well worth a small fee for the amount of tax savings you can get if the LLC is set up correctly.

You can talk to Northwest Registered Agents and they will help you with starting an LLC. That's how I did it.
An LLC is only necessary in the beginning if you are trying to establish business credit.
Do you self a favor and start off on the right foot. Just let an attorney do it. It's worth the couple of bucks that they charge.
legal zoom is another way to do it fast and cheap.
Go to an attorney who is familiar with them & consider the advantages vs. risks .
