One of my "big 8" is "internal", meaning I get my feelings of reward satisfied from completing my task to the best of my ability. A persons that is "external" requires their reward from outside sources. It's not good or bad, just awareness of what "type" you are. If you like acknowledgment or feel better when another person tells you "good job" then understand that. As a master NLP practitioner, I teach people their 8 natural intrinsic decision making processes. Not only important for you to know, but for any conversation you are having. So if you feel that you're just now getting your message through in relationships, with colleagues, your boss or kids. It's time to discover your BIG 8

I have two reward systems set up. First, I have an account called my "fun account." I take 10% of what I make and put it in the fun account. Then, when I want to do something fun, the money is there. Second, I plan getaways. I know my self, my body and my mental strength. I can only go so long without recharging. Hey, see how this plays into the first one?

To reward myself for success I give myself some space to enjoy something I enjoy doing. For example, I just finished some upgrades to a book and then slept in the next day and visited a couple museums I've been wanting to visit in this new city I'm living in for awhile.

Shopping, dinner & movie out! Reward for goals met are family trips to the beach or the mountains ♥ And you?

My rewards are often around giving myself extra time to do something I enjoy like reading, painting. I will also go for a massage, pedicure or to my local wineries for a drink.

I'm a model railroader for my hobby, and a life long train watcher of steam locomotives.  I take some of my earnings to develop my train table and visit steam pulled tourist railroads.  I also tell myself to not get cocky about success and that it could all go away with bad reviews or lack of interest for my topics or HOW I go about my business practices.

Great question Linda. Achiever is one of my top 5 strengths (Clifton Strengths), it is easy for me to keep going onto the next without celebrating success along the way. I strongly believe that we can increase our confidence and momentum when we acknowledge our wins...so I am doing more of that and coach my clients to do the same. We all feel better when we are "winning" at our lives and businesses. Depending on the size of the win I will do anything from treat myself to an American Misto to purchases for our home or even a destination convention.

I love 90 minute or two hour massages - that's one of my favorite ways of rewarding myself Linda!
