If your industry didn't exist, what do you think you would do for a living?

I was asked this at an event last night and thought it was a very clever, thought-provoking question. So I'm curious to ask and intrigued to read!

Jessica - here is an interesting subject " Finding Truth in a Post Truth Culture" Post Truth is where objective facts are less influential than emotion and personal belief - Post Truth doesn't just mean truth is in the past but truth is irrelevant - our culture has become post truth - it acknowledges that there is objective truth, but that truth is only acceptable if it fits our preferences and opinions. Objective truth has been replaced by secular humanism - so many now get their   news from  comedians. So is there a source of Objective Truth? If so why is this important so I help others?

Ah, if the insurance industry didn't exist I would have been leading meditation daily (already doing it now as well, but then it would be a full-time career).
I would also spend more time painting and allowing my spirit to be expressed through art. My main focus would be on leading and merging, implementing meditation and yoga into our western medicine and I would continue to diligently merge the east and west medicine to allow us all to remember what we already know about self-healing and the potential of enhancing the concept of taking care of ourselves first in order for us to help and support other. Together we can self-heal and might also be able to heal the world in the process as well.

If I wasn't in insurance, I'd be looking to find ways to make a difference by helping animals and/or working to create a sustainable environment.

I have been involved in sports my whole life. I have played and continue to coach my kids which is such a huge passion of mine.  I probably would have been a sports agent or coach if I did not work in the insurance industry. It is amazing to me how sports impact our society and a lot of people can relate to this topic and is a great conversation piece.

Helping people with the multitude of problems business associates and families face today in our "Sandwich Generation". One area I would discuss with them is " What is Truth"? In our culture today many define TRUTH as relative or whatever you want to make it. There are no absolutes in their thinking etc.

If my industry didn't exist, and I had no bills to pay, I would either teach or spend my days volunteering for my favorite charitable organization.

If my industry didn't exist, and I still had bills to pay, I would look out for an opportunity to fix a different problem faced by business owners. One of my biggest strengths is problem solving.

I always worked for industries and companies that were fun. My experience is very diverse. I could have worked in sales, marketing, training and operations in the sports, service, hotel and entertainment industry. As for the most fun I had working for others, was a sales manager for a betting horse track.
