I focus on my Real Estate career as that alone allows me the opportunity to do various jobs. I am not just a Realtor, I am a CFO, CEO, Managing Partner, Supervisor, Accountant, Strategist, Marketing Rep., Coach, Counselor, etc....Everyday brings something different to the table and my free time is spent with my grandson, family & friends, which doesn’t constitute a second job...as far as revenue streams, that’s where solid investments come into play. Invest in yourself when you are young and your investments will pay you back in the future so you can relax a little....

I can survive with just my business but it doesn’t allow me to be the people person I am and connect with varied groups of people. As a result, I take on side jobs that gives me the human connectivity that I crave.

My previous career in radio naturally led to other opportunities like voiceover work and public address announcing. When I left radio, I was able to continue doing some of that, which provides a nice, additional revenue stream. It could be even more, but I don't accept jobs that would interfere with my primary responsibilities.

I am a full time Realtor and absolutely love helping people and their families buy and sell homes. I surround my self with professional venders that I use personally and love that I am their go to when they need home repairs, medical, stylist  or anything else. My struggle sometime is getting my phone to ring consistantly throughout the year and the peace of mind of a steady income.

I actually have been able to make it by just working in my business, but recently I wanted to make some extra money and did not want to increase my salary and take more money from my business; so I signed up to be an Uber driver.  So far so good.  It really does allow me to pick up some extra money whenever I find the time, which works out great.

In order to succeed there is no time for additional work. When we are not open I need to be networking. The rest of the time is for family and friends in order to have balance in my life.

I am a full time studio artist and have been since 1990. However, I have an extensive medical/psychiatric background (the previous "day" job) that includes many years of experience. A part of my current activities, I teach art as an independent. I do work with geriatrics in senior centers, and private instruction students, some with mental and physical handicaps teaching art with them. I am able to figure out how to make them successful even if memory care issues, mental illness issues and physical handicap issues. I also work with advanced and gifted. I realized that my medical background separated me out as an art teacher with skills that few art teachers possess. And I only use "positive reinforcement" techniques. This income pays the bills and challenges my thinking and problem solving while I wait for an art buyer to come along. Sara L. Hanlon BFA MCAD

I would relish having a secondary income, but finding the time is a major challenge. Also, I am a sole proprietor and the idea prospect of working FOR someone else again - after being able to set my own hours for many years  - is not all that appealing.  Working WITH another who shares a common interest in a secondary business endeavor would be more appealing.

I am a former US Marine as well as a former Police Officer. I retired on disability 9 years ago. I don't play golf so instead, I taught myself how to design and maintain websites. I currently maintain about 30 websites. Most are local to the Tampa Bay area but I do have others that are based in Chicago, New Jersey, and Ohio. While this is my main source of "retired" income I am not an idle person. On some weekday evenings and on weekends, I also DJ and provide a karaoke service. My karaoke collection is by far the largest in the tri-state area, 520,000+ song versions.
