Marketers, what advice do you have on keeping communication concise?
Ken Green from Digital First Media shares some thoughts:
Keep it concise and factual so that the benefit is evident and understandable to the recipient. Be specific in your e-mail subject line. An ambiguous subject line gets passed over and deleted.

Communication with prospects: 1) Answer the question "Why should I do business with you?" so that it fits on the back of a business card. 2) Now ask yourself "Can most of my competitors respond the same?" 3) If the answer to #2 is yes, spend some time drilling down your unique selling statements. It is much more difficult to articulate a short and concise message as it requires laser focus.
Communication with clients: Always communicate in writing, clearly outlining expectations and delivery.
Keep it real, be sure that your post/message have a value to your subscriber/customer. My favorite self quote is "You Spam you gone" (not the best example of rhyming, but it's true).
