I love the look in a client's eye when their body releases and the pain stops! Fro some clients, they have held onto the pain for years. First their eyes enlarge to the size of a golf ball, some will laugh out loud, others will cry from joy. I love to listen to them share what just happen in the waiting to the incoming client. If the incoming client is a returning client, the joy from both of them fills me with total love. God, I would do this for free if I didn't need the money.

Hmmmmm... wellllll, Let's see... Get up, smile, 1st cup of coffee, Mmmmm, Catch a bit of news (but not too much) with Kat (wifey), take the dogs for a walk, short ride to work against traffic... Yeah!.  Then spend the entire day with my partner Helen greeting, socializing, making new friends, teaching, learning, laughing. Finally, a short drive home, bit of TV with Kat again and cuddles all night with doggies... basically living life~  What's not to Love?

We are so much more than "do-ers"  We get to "Be" who we are and that's included in each and every massage.  Our clients whole experience encompasses more than just the act of touching them in various ways... It's how they are greeted on the phone and at the door (an expression of our personalities), the manner in which they are brought to and laid to rest on the bed or chair, how they are covered, and each and every interaction until departure.  We get to "Be" and when you love who you are you get to share it and that's loving life!

Anyway, have to run now... something to do.

I love being able to help people get better. It's when someone comes in and says "I can't bend and it hurts to pick up my daughter." When I work on the area and they get off my table and are able to bend and pick up their child is one of the things I love about my career.

Sometimes it's just providing the power of touch. In our society human contact is rare. We order food, we shop, we do everything online. Technology has created an agoraphobic friendly society. So human contact is almost non-existent. It is our main psychological need. I love that I get to provide that to people.

I love the immediate gratification of relieving pain and the effects of stress.

I love teaching how to use self-care techniques.

I love learning how to do my work better with each and every client as well as sharing information with other therapists.

I love getting paid by the hour.

I love working for myself.

Simply, providing healing.

When I'm finished with the massage & the client looks at me with relief & appreciation in their eyes & expresses gratitude for what I did for them, nothing can compare to that exchange. And receiving more business from their referrals & praise; even better. This work is truly about making a difference in a small but profound way.

Emotional release of trauma in one's body, & freedom to move forward.
