Photographers, what do you consider the best platform to sell your stock photos, and why?

Interested in tapping into your experience with photo licensing plaforms. As a customer buying stock photos i came across many culprits, e.g. that larger platforms are buying smaller platforms and migrating/closing it. As a photographer building a tiny own library of stock photos I am wondering which platforms have a good balance with general success, traffic, and revenue. There are many platforms out there, and multiple licensing models, and it would be too time consuming to spread out to more than 2-3 platforms, especially if it's considered only one of many income streams. I am looking forward to read about your experiences and advice.

Best is to do your own Art Shows. Stock photo market doesn't pay well at all. Or Sell on ETSY - matted versions.

Years ago i did fairly well with the Greenbook. I believe there was also the BlueBook and others. The main problem was getting the call for stock images about noon my time meaning it was about 10 am +/-. The next problem was finding the images for the request quickly [slide era], preparing the paperwork and getting them out to our airport before 5am so they'd be in NYC by 10am the next morning. Obviously for long distance time was the cost that challenged success and growth in stock photo work. With the web things should be easier; however, how do you protect your copy rights? Gave it up, took too much time away from my paintings and family. Good luck !

I don't see stock photos as something that's potentially viable at the moment. If you got in early, great. However I was late to the game, I won't make as much (but at least some) compared if I decide to license my photos.

I'm looking into Adobe stock. I haven't started my stock journey yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Just trying to get some of these jobs out of the way first 😅

I'm using Selz, but it is a slow go to post inventory for both online sales and preview and reserves for already existing photo items in the brick and mortar gallery.  Unfortunately, Selz is not accepting new applications for membership there.  Not sure why.  I really like the interface and the options for posting.  And they make digital delivery of purchases at the time of purchase easy.
