I started my business based upon grants and did well for several years. During the downturn however, many grants disappeared and that impacted my business greatly. Don't just rely on grants, always have other income streams to survive. Also remember that the money isn't free. You will spend significant time writing the grants and then reporting on the results of the grant on your business.
I never use grants because its hard to get them. I show individual how to start and run their business debt free from day one. So they don't have to rely on grant or loans.
If we had time I would use grants to develop pro bono design work
I’ve tried before and it was so complicated I gave up. Also be aware of scam artists who say they can get you a grant for a fee. If you have time to search out the grant and write out application, it could help.
I have no information or expertise in pursuing a grant or incentives. If I did, I would probably apply for a grant.
My Answer Grants allow funding allowing businesses to grow without the hassle of paying them back
My company has no overhead since everything is dropped shipped directly to my customers so I really don’t need any Grants or loans
Wish I had the answer for others... we have never needed grants...
As a gunsmith, not too many lending institutions available for me. Also, my business is part time and I would be hard pressed to be able to repay the grant.
Grants? Didn't realize you could acquire grants for starting up an investment business. Let me know if you ever find out anything on this subject. Best wishes.
