I'm in favor of whole foods over juice. Homemade vegetable juice is of great benefit, though, for someone with a serious illness (such as cancer) who needs concentrated nutrition. In such a case, I emphasize organic vegetable juice -- daily. If the taste doesn't seem appealing, just squeeze some fresh lemon juice into it. The problem with concentrating fruits into juice is the fructose. People think it's fine because it's "natural," but fructose is a nasty sugar. When someone dislikes vegetable juice without fruit, I tend to suspect that he/she eats a lot of sugary foods. I've typically been right.
