What I do is I am both a broker and a direct lender.  I have a network of investors such as Banks, Insurance Companies, Private Investors, Hedge Fund, Securitized Lenders  that I place my loans through. Because I have so many options I can usually find people a better loan than they can find themselves and most of the lenders pay my fee.
