How We Got Started
A group of businessmen formed the Greater Frankfort Building and Loan Association (think about the Bailey Building and Loan from the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life.) In December 1934 the Association, with $3,357 in cash holdings, the Board of Directors approved its first home loan to I.A. and Elizabeth Kennady who resided on the east side of Arlington Avenue in Frankfort.
