The Conversations You're Avoiding Are Costing You More Than You Realize
Best Conflict Solutions, founded by Kimberly Best, helps business owners, partners, and leaders in Missouri, Tennessee, and nationwide navigate the difficult conversations they've been avoiding—so they can find real solutions and move forward stronger.
Who We Are
Kimberly Best is a court-listed mediator in Missouri and Tennessee, FINRA Arbitrator, and founder of Best Conflict Solutions. Drawing on decades as a critical care nurse and specialized training in conflict management, Kim brings a unique perspective to business and organizational conflict: she understands how people function under pressure—when emotions are high and communication breaks down.
As Immediate Past President of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators and former Membership Officer of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section, Kim has built a practice focused on helping people develop the capacity to navigate conflict themselves.
Our Philosophy
There aren't "people problems," there are skills gaps. When emotions run high, even intelligent, caring people struggle with conflict—not because they're broken, but because no one taught them how to navigate difficult conversations under pressure.
The most important conversations are often the ones we're not having. That tension between partners? The employee situation you keep avoiding? The team conflict affecting productivity? These conversations are costing you time, money, talent, and peace of mind.
We don't just help resolve today's conflict—we teach you and your team the skills to handle tomorrow's challenges with confidence.

Why Our Approach Works
My background as an ER nurse taught me how to stay calm in crisis, read what people aren't saying, and help people make critical decisions under pressure. I bring that steadiness to your business conflicts.
I create space where everyone feels seen, heard, validated, and valued—because that's how people move from emotional reactivity to collaborative problem-solving. Whether you're facing partnership tensions, workplace conflict, or organizational challenges, I help you find your best way forward.

How We Got Started

Best Conflict Solutions began with a painful realization—and a personal experience that changed everything.
I spent decades as a critical care nurse. I watched people struggle with conflict—not because they lacked intelligence or compassion, but because no one taught them how to navigate difficult conversations when emotions run high.

Then I went through my own difficult divorce and realized: I didn't have the tools I needed either.

That's when everything changed. I went back to school for my master's in conflict management because I knew people needed practical skills—not just someone to solve problems for them.

Best Conflict Solutions was founded on this belief: there aren't "people problems," there are skills gaps. When people have help with these conversations and learn how to have difficult conversations on their own, everything changes. Relationships strengthen. Teams collaborate. Families reconnect.
