The Franklin Historical Society of Franklin, WI.

The FHS maintains a historic village in the City of Franklin WI.'s Lions Legend park. The buildings in the village include the 1836 Sheehan-Godsell Log Cabin, the 1869 St.Peters, Chapel, the 1878 Whelan School, 1886 Town Hall, the 1891 Delikat Smokehouse and the 1910 Ludwig Outhouse. These buildings are living museums of Franklin's history and are open for public touring.
The Whelan School is used as a one day field trip for grade school students from Franklin and surrounding communities to find out what it was like to be a student in 1908. The St. Peters Chapel part of our Christmas program and we host weddings for a small fee.
The FHS has published two books with third coming later this year. From Cabins to Condos ($15) and Footprints of Franklin ($20) are available for sale by going to our website
