Because of the nature of our property and cabins, they are completely self contained with full kitchens and 5 even have washer/dryers so you can completely socially distance in our cabins and have great walks on uncrowded roads! We sanitize the door knobs, TV remotes and all counters after each guest and right before anyone we get lucky enough to keep their reservations! We have been coordinating to inlock the cabin and give the guest access without having to compromise the recommended social distancing that is so important! We have seen our occupancy drop to basically nothing. Very hard with March, April and May being three of our busiest months.  We have applied for everything we could, waiting to hear back on everything. Our SBA lender has been VERY supportive with a 6 month defferal on our loan payments.  After we applied for our loan and payroll assistance, we did hire a crew to paint one of the cabins that really needed it, figuring we were going to be approved for at least that much. Fingers still crossed, however the cabin is looking great, and it really needed to be done regardless! We had to cancel a journey to France, Germany and Kiev to visit our grandsons, one, who this month is 8 months old, that we have only met via Facetime and Whattsap as he was born in Germany. All our families are healthy at this time, which is a blessing!  Sending prayers and wishes that we all will come out of this without TOO many scars and in good physical health for all our family and friends.   Stay safe, be well! Happy Easter!

Which I then hoped would have/create a front line internal recruiting team to gain employees that shared our the common goal.  To have potential employees walk in the door and say, "I have watched for openings here, and glad I have the chance to join the team!" was an exciting start to building teams. Pay and conditions must be competitive as well as the "business ethic" we carry.  The Business and environmental ethics, I believe to be more important than ever because people want to work and get paid by a company that they respect, what the company does as well as how they do it. Standing out is a many "point of light" journey that can also have a "many headed hydra" lurking close by.

Good customer service quickly moves then listening and focusing while keeping the customer focused to discover what is needed, then wat is needed to be done to exceed their expectations and delivering on that. Finishing the transaction with a sincere thank you, warm smile and an invitation to return soon. Sounds simple, however not delivered as often as a customer hopes for!

To accomplish this rise in business we have partnered with new booking engines and increased our on line exposure through new partnerships and working hard to maintain a high result in the Google searches looking for properties in our area.

We finally went live on AirBnB exactly 5 days ago.  We have already had 2 guests come stay with us. We have had 2 other inquires that we had no availability on the dates requested. We are hopeful it is a sign of stays to come. Too early to really give any definitive answer. Happy Holidaze!
