As many have said, we already pay well above minimum wage just to hire and keep good help. Increasing the minimum wage will make us pay an even higher avg wage, which will result in price increases. Logic should tell everyone that as expenses increase, businesses will either raise prices or close. We’re already seeing the price of gas increase...who does that impact the greatest? Even at $15 an hour, low wage earners feel price increases the most. And yes, we’re looking at automation and streamlining wherever possible....there eventually will be less jobs. The market will and is currently driving wages AND jobs....increasing the minimum wage will hurt the very people it’s supposed to help.
