Shirley Ahmad (EA) and I (Imtiaz Ahmad, CPA) provide business management advisory services. From what not to do in a business setting to what works for a particular business. Between the two of us we have more then 70 years of successful business experience. The primary focus at this time is to help business owners minimize their tax liabilities; be income tax , sales tax, property tax, payroll taxes, city and county taxes and preservation of their wealth.

No. One needs actual receipts to show what was purchased. A gas station sells lot more than one item. So the question would be what did you buy; gasoline or condoms.

This is one act that a businessman must never do himself. Too many rules and regulations involved in this process (IRS, EDD, sales tax, property tax, lenders involved, accountants & attorneys involved, landlord, just to name a few). Get a business broker involved.

Part time or full time does not determine the W-2. It is the control by the employer over the workers when to come, when to start, how to do the job will determine if these worker are employees or contractors. In general moving labor from one category to another should not trigger an audit.
