My mothers friend was involved and victimized in an online romance scam. The photo she thought was the man she loved belonged to a Retired Army Col. that had no idea his pictures had been stolen and used by criminals in other country's to created cybercrime. I reached out to my no Co-Founder of AARS, Col. Bryan Denny and found that this had been happening to him for the 6 months prior to me reaching out. We began researching the crime as a team and realized more needed to be done on behalf of the safety on our platforms and as a stronger voice for the victims.
