Kristen is an Oklahoma native born in 1990 who credits Tulsa with her first creative spark. She is a wildlife bronze sculptor. Her work serves to encourage the admiration and preservation of wildlife and natural spaces. Family nature outings and wildlife art shows fostered a passion for the outdoors. In 2016, she apprenticed under Jocelyn Russell, a nationally renowned artist and major mentor whom she has followed since the age of nine. The monument project she helped with included life size elephants and lions for the New Orleans Audubon Zoo.
Kristen has exhibited work in National Juried Exhibitions such as the American Plains Artists Show and Sale, 64 Arts and Nature Works. Her work can also be seen at Dallas Safari Club and Safari Club International to name a few. Kristen continues to work under Jocelyn Russell on monumental public work installations and at her studio on San Juan Island off the coast of Washington. She is proficient in metal chasing, tooling and patinas. When she isn’t doing bronze metal work with Jocelyn’s husband Michael Dubail, a professional welder and metal chaser, she travels to art shows. She is most passionate about sharing her knowledge of the trade through teaching sculpting workshops across the country.
