Over forty years of diverse legal and business experience, including business & real estate transactions, prosecution of white-collar crime, civil litigation, and the development of training programs for lawyers, judges and prosecutors in Central Asia. Knowledge of U. S. regulatory matters, including Immigration, copyright, trademark and computer law, as well as experience in the private practice of law and as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for an international corporation.

My first job as an attorney in 1976 was with the U.S. Department of Justice, Board of Immigration Appeals. After three years at the BIA, I moved to the DOJ office that handled immigration litigation. In 1981, I went to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Northern District of California.
