I prefer referrals. Introduction via email cc the person who referred you. Why? 1. I can thank the person who referred you. 2. I can also know you are coming from a place being told things I am not privy to by someone else. If one is going to call, it would do one very well to ensure the phone is...

I can also know you are coming from a place being told things I am not privy to by someone else. If one is going to call, it would do one very well to ensure the phone is not on the federal and state DNS. Getting a call from someone who did not check first, leaves me questioning if they did their due diligence with customers. If one is going to send an email, ASK me for a few minutes vs expecting it. Sorry to be so direct; but I heard you were wanting honest feedback.

In this day in age, we must recognize the prices are astronomical beyond reason. Usually someone who low ball bids, does for job now. Little if any consideration is about relationship or long customer service. Tell the client, if you feel that is what is best for you, I will respect your...

In this day in age, we must recognize the prices are astronomical beyond reason. Usually someone who low ball bids, does for job now. Little if any consideration is about relationship or long customer service. Tell the client, if you feel that is what is best for you, I will respect your position. However, understand, that company should also service you as you would expect of me and you deserve. Keep in touch, I am excited to hear how the progress is going.
If I outsourced my services, is my customer really first? I realize many do, I choose to refer to my network. It is a win/win and we take care of each other. It seems a wiser choice to outsource someone else strength and we focus our attention on our strengths.

Then prepare a business plan, operating agreement, file with the state you are operating out of. You will also need to get an IRS EIN number, applying is free.

Tony,
My first recommendation is determine what your values are in business. Then market to those who share the same common values. Second, I would recommend an incentive for your network to open theirs to you, via recommendation. Finally, when one follows through, consistent and operates with a manner that those whom don’t know you will know you by what you stand for, is a great start.
Reach out to your network and identify manners they see as your strengths and identify what you love. When you can identify both, you have a secret recipe for your success.
It would seem the person who hired you, should be the responsible party to pay you. Did you research the address through tax records to identify who owned the home as the time?
Have you considered a mechanics lien?

While marketing is fantastic and necessary; it begins with relationships. Build your relationships. Once you have those relationships solid, they will leverage their relationships and social media to help you. In short, the one’s I have found to be of huge success are: Facebook, linkedin, Pinterest, Instagram, twitter. Be uniquely you. When your uniqueness comes out, it will attract like people. Hope that helps
