Frisco RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders are currently the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball Club. The RoughRiders play in the Texas League, assigned to the South Division. In 2014, they were purchased by a local ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg and Scott Sonju from former owner, Mandalay Sports & Entertainment.
The RoughRiders won Ballpark Digest's "Best Renovation" award for the wide array of facility upgrades and improvements to the Ballpark, including a state-of-art HD video board that is the largest in Minor League Baseball, new sound system, Bull Moose Saloon Sports Bar, InTouch Grille season ticket holder hospitality location, Riders Outpost Team Store, and the unique and popular State Fairway Area. In 2016, the RoughRiders released the Choctaw Lazy River, the largest water feature in a sports venue in the world!
We just finished the All Star Break and 4 Roughriders made the team this year! After the conclusion of this last season, we have officially lead the Double A attendance for 13 straight seasons!
