How We Got Started

HireEffect™ has been helping organizations across a variety of industries grow their businesses since 2007.

Jennifer Scott founded our company with one purpose: to create jobs by helping small businesses leverage the benefits of enterprise-level recruitment strategies she had learned through years of experience in agency and corporate settings. She understood that most business owners are not necessarily experts at hiring or managing talent. So she decided to be the solution. Jennifer built her career on helping companies focus their hiring on not only skills, but also on aligning company culture and core values.

In 2018, we expanded our core services to include bookkeeping, payroll, human resources, accounting technology automation, business advisory services, and, of course, recruiting. We are like having a business partner in your back pocket. We’re here whenever you need us.

Ieshea, this answer depends a lot on your business. Wave is good for very small, simple businesses. If you have any inventory, more than 10 employees, lots of transactions and need great reporting, it's probably not the right choice. Xero is another option. It's fairly easy to use, and there are... (more) Ieshea, this answer depends a lot on your business. Wave is good for very small, simple businesses. If you have any inventory, more than 10 employees, lots of transactions and need great reporting, it's probably not the right choice. Xero is another option. It's fairly easy to use, and there are a lot of third party apps that integrate with Xero - very similar to QuickBooks Online (QBO). The downside t o Xero, if you want to integrate payroll, it is also best for less than 10 employees. QBO is also a solid choice, and Intuit (who owns QBO) is investing A LOT into the growth and development of the system. If you have plans to grow your business, QBO is a great solution. All three qill give you the ability to link your bank and credit card accounts for easier reconciliation, all include expense tracking, payment processing, and invoicing. All three allow for a payroll option (included with Xero) and all three can give you basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, etc.) In my opinion, QBO is the best choice for growing businesses who want the ability to stay with one system for the long term. I own a small business consulting firm that specializes in outsourced bookkeeping, recruiting, and accounting technology integration; we use QBO internally and it is the software of choice for most of our clients. It's important to be productive to get things done. AND, it's important to be efficient to get things done with as little wasted time and energy as possible, so you can be even more productive. In technical / macroeconomic terms, productivity is a measurement of efficiency (measuring the efficiency of production.) We help business owners increase productivity by helping them improve their efficiency.
