(more) After college, I worked in lower management positions in various Silicon Valley companies. At one computer company that is now defunct, I encountered a huge snag in my professional path. A female supervisor demanded that I get her a hamburger on my 30 minute lunch. I informed her that I only had 30 minutes and driving to get her hamburger during that short break, would prevent me from eating my sack lunch. I had no plans to leave our corporate premises but hoped to grab 30 minutes of peace outside on the lawn. She was livid but couldn't do anything about it because I didn't answer to her. I worked for another supervisor. But in time she was able to transfer me away from my supervisor and into her department where she proceeded to reprimand me for everything she could imagine including "not smiling enough." Mind you, I was not dealing with the public. My job entailed answering phones and sitting in a cubicle where I had zero contact with our customers. I have yet to meet any man who has endangered his employment by "not smiling enough." I should add that it was 1989 and women didn't have as many rights in the workplace as we do now. Eventually her emotional abuse was too much for me to take and I resigned. Next stop? Hollywood. My boyfriend was trying to launch his music career and I hoped to become an author so we traveled to Hollywood to investigate our options. A friend had introduced me to a powerful Hollywood producer whom shall remain nameless for the sake of this story and he invited me to a private showing of the movie "Earth Girls are Easy" starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. I should have known I was in trouble by the title of the movie but I was young and #MeToo was nearly thirty years from becoming a thing. After the movie, he invited me to dinner at his Hollywood Hills home with this teenage kids. That seemed safe enough. But no, after our strange dinner of steamed artichokes and ice cream (really?), his two teens left the house. I engaged this movie producer in some shop talk and then he made his move, attempting to kiss me. I turned my head and looked at him with surprise. I hadn't even thought of this as a date but he obviously did. And here is what he said when I refused the kiss: "I thought you wanted to be an actress."  "No," I replied, "I want to be a writer."  Perhaps not the best response but it was the only thing that came to mind in my state of surprise.   I explored a few other opportunities in LA but they all led to gross #MeToo moments so I crossed Hollywood off my list of options and headed to San Francisco where I became . . . a high-end escort. I figured if everything was going to come down to my gender, I might as well get paid royally for it. And I did. Over the course of the next fourteen years, I earned a six figure annual income, got married, raised two kids and became a very vocal spokesperson for sex worker rights. I was on everything from CNN to John Kasich's Heartland on FOX News to Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect. I transitioned from escorting in 2004 which was also the year I got a divorce. My book deal was a slam-dunk at that point. As someone who had been interviewed for major media for all of those fourteen years, I was able to quickly secure an agent and an advance from a major east coast publisher.  So, DID become an author after all. The road to that reality shocks some and delights others. I wonder how you feel about my unusual professional path? Today I am a relationship coach and certified sexologist (of course) and I am writing my second book: Love, Lust and Romance in the Wake of #MeToo.

Once we work our way past the confusion and grief, there is a mountain of freedom and joy on the other side. It includes everything from sexual "dysfunction" to anger management. I teach something I call the Exquisite Partnership Formula. It's a five step process for asserting a "No" that creates more intimacy and heart connection. The couples I work with rave that their sex lives experience a rebirth once they master this simple communication tool.

We all know the couple that has been together forever even though their relationship is nothing to brag about. They ignore each other or fight a lot. The sex is boring if it exists at all. Yet after all these years, they haven't found the courage to address their issues in any meaningful way.  What might that look like anyway? As a relationship coach what I see is most couples really love each other and they stay together hoping things will improve. Or they assume all relationships get boring or tedious over time. And they don't really think things could be better. If things get really bad, they wind up in my office as a last ditch effort to salvage the relationship. And I can often help them turn things around. But it would be better if they got help before then. Because by then, the feelings of hurt are pretty deep. Rather than just focus on making a relationship last, I suggest you shoot higher than that! Don't settle for what everyone else has. Dare to claim the full expression of relationship happiness. Because it really is possible.  It's what I do. I help couples achieve the level of joy and connection and intimacy and sexual fulfillment that I live every day in my own relationship. You can learn my top tip for not only creating a lasting relationship but also a joyful, romantic love connection with your partner. Just check out the book I wrote about it here:  https://publishizer.com/how-to...

But I don't think so. Most anyone who wants to attract potential clients or customers online needs video and text on their website and the SEO's need you to post frequently. That is where I fall down and where I will improve this year!
