Progressive Printing
Progressive Printing Company Incorporated
Progressive Printing Co. was started by Ralph Taylor and sold to Bill Oberlin who then sold it to Jim Gram in 1960. At that time it was located in the old bowling alley on South Jackson St. and in 1961 Jim moved to the old bus station building, where the Inn at DePauw now stands. In 1961 Jim moved the shop to 3 East Franklin just off the Courthouse Square.
The final move came in 1976 when Jim purchased the Jim Harris Chevrolet building at 115 North Jackson St. and moved the shop to it's present location. Jim ran the shop for over 50 years before turning the operation over to his son Gary Gram and daughter Cathy Lowery who continue to run the business.
Jim Gram worked for IBM and part time for Ralph Taylor learning the small printing business.
