Start with the problems that you help solve for your prospects and then create some content based around solving some of those problems. This content can be in the form of written post, white paper or video. Ideally you can do both.
If it's a common problem make sure that you have a posts on your site that deals with it and make sure an SEO expert has optimized your site so that you have a chance of showing up when someone is searching for answers to the problem.
On the homepage of your site you can also offer the solution to the problem and email them the white paper. This helps you establish authority AND you collect the email address which you can followup with them with additional useful information.
The video can be optimized and put on Youtube which is the number 2 Search Engine in the world.
Give Value and help prospects solve problems and you will find that as long as you are doing it well, you will generate new profitable business by helping people for free.
There are developers that still offer custom designs sites. Ours for one. It depends on what you are looking for. Template sites have their place and can work for some situations, but if you want a site that is unique to your business, then you want a custom site.

If on the other hand, the formatting is off and it's not working well on a mobile device, then you need a redesign and possibly a move to a different platform. In either case, I would advise you hire a company that can improve your website's function as well as it's traffic.

We have clients in your industry that get hundreds of calls just from their Google my business page, because it has been optimized correctly and shows up first in a lot of searches. Having foundational SEO done correctly is extremely important and not something you want to have a newbie handling. Find a great online marketing company and get them to take care of it.

When you call on a potential client do you show them a lovely photo of the market that you both live in and let them gaze on that for a few minutes and then go about your discovery interview and then feed back their pain points with you as the solution? I am guessing you skip the showing them the photo for a few minutes part. Skip on your site as well.

In my experience, that domain doesn't have much value. There isn't much value in exact match domains since an algorithm update. And with the addition of so many extensions, the .nets seem even less desirable. But you could try some of the real estate and media companies in the area. If it is...

If it is getting traffic there might be some interest there. If you need some SEO work on it to improve the traffic, let me know.
