About Us
We are a law firm that specializes in two areas: IRS Problem Resolution and Estate Planning. In our IRS practice our slogan is "We deal with the IRS so you don't have to." We resolve delinquent tax problems through Installment Agreements, Offers in Compromise and sometimes getting our clients in the Currently Not Collectible status. We also work to get penalties forgiven for many clients and work with the Fresh Start Program. We have clients who owe anywhere from $10,000 to $800,000. In our Estate Planning practice, we help our clients determine the best Estate Planning strategy for their particular needs. We prepare wills, trusts and Durable Powers of Attorney as well as Living Wills and Health Care Powers of Attorney.

If the person is a current client, we first send a reminder letter to pay in 30 days. If they ignore that we send another letter stating that if they do not pay within 30 days, we will close their file. That usually gets their attention and they will pay. If they still ignore us, we close the file and notify them of that. As a lawyer I really cannot get collection agencies involved or harass the former client. I write off the remaining balance.

We qualify all of our prospects before they become clients. On the initial call for an appointment, our receptionist asks about their particular IRS problem, how much they owe, etc. If they owe less than $10,000, she will tell them some things they can do themselves to resolve their problem. This in itself creates good referral marketing. When they come in, they will fill out an intake form that tell me a lot about them. Then I follow up with a discussion about what they want to accomplish to determine if their goals are realistic or not.
If you receive a certified letter, you should contact an attorney who deals with IRS collections regularly. An appeal can usually be filed to stop any immediate collection actions, such as levies or garnishments, but your representative needs to know the proper way to do this.
