How We Got Started
I opened Flying Suitcase Inc in 1976. Then I retired and was bored. I realized that I missed arranging travel experiences for my clientele too much to retire. So I re-opened my business as a LLC in 2015.

I have not been able to apply for PPP. I had no employees and 60 percent of the money needs to be spent on employees coming back to work. Not elegible for PPP.

I am not pushing domestic travel. However I am ready to reserve domestic as well as international travel. Some of my clients are starting to call but all have called about international travel.

I have some clients who are starting to reserve new trips for April and May of 2021. Although deposits are due at the time of reserving, the final payments are not due until January or February 2021. Some are starting to plan even though it is for almost a year from now. I have some that are...

I have some clients who are starting to reserve new trips for April and May of 2021. Although deposits are due at the time of reserving, the final payments are not due until January or February 2021. Some are starting to plan even though it is for almost a year from now. I have some that are ready to re-book their cancelled vacations to Europe but the US is still not allowing citizens to return from Europe without self-quarantining for 14 days. Then there are others who are not ready at all to even think about it.
I have always advetised in the local papers. I will continue but with more frequency. I have never stopped with my Facebook and Linkedin pages and will continue there.

I am a Travel Advisor. I am not worried about working with my clientele as all of my work is done on the phone and not in person. I usually meet with clients when I have documents to give them. I wear masks and follow the guidelines. I wish everyone did that but they don't. I don't know what...

One of the tour operators that I use is offering Virtual Touring to the countries in which they operate. I am inviting my friends and clientele to register for them. Then they are using that information in order to send me items of interest from that country to forward to my client.

Some of my vendors are offering either refunds for what was paid and not taken OR the amount of money as a future cruise credit to be used at a later date. Some of the companies that are offering the future cruise credit are offering up to a 25% increase in the credit if they choose that...

My business has only one employee--ME. I am on Medicare and a Medigap coverage plan. My Medigap plan pays all of the deductibles and co-insurances on Medicare. It is somewhat expensive. However, after I pay the premium, I don't pay anything else.
