I learned to look at taxes in a different way. We live in a city, state and country that have laws, roads, infrastructure, internal and external defenses (such as running water, sewage removal and cleaning, rubbish removal and responsible recycling, etc). All societies/ Governments have taxed their citizens for centuries. What you have to protect and defend is truth and liberties.
I hate it. I hate being double taxed. My biggest bill is taxes. I pay about 35% in taxes including payroll tax, income tax and sales tax and unemployment tax, it is ridiculous. It is a wonder a lot of small Businesses go out of Business in the dfirst year
When my sons were little, we qualified for every form of assistance. Now that they are grown and I can actually work (and make money!) I am actually pleased to be able to contribute and help others in the same spot that I was back in the day.
Taxes are just like breathing - just something you do. And if I'm paying taxes, then I'm making money! I'm good with it as long as I'm only paying what I have to. Take legal deductions!
Expenses like taxes, especially property taxes, are a deduction when it comes to filing income tax to Revenue Canada. What I do not enjoy about taxes, etc. is the business license to City Hall when I do not use street lights, sidewalks, parking etc. because I do not sell out of my home, only with Independent AMSOIL Dealer URL http://rudyhiebert.myamsoil.com

Enjoy? No. I do get a certain level of satisfaction that I can make that payment and am doing my part to keep our country running.
