I think this is many-sided, but I make a conscious effort to eat well, get enough sleep, I care for my skin, hair, nails, and teeth, and I exercise. I dance Ballet which is also quite meditative! It's really difficult so you can't be thinking about anything else during that time!
I really enjoy doing those things so it's not as difficult to find motivation to do them as it is for some people.. but I do find it challenging, sometimes, to feel comfortable when I have to establish boundaries with people so that I can do those things well. I am often reminding myself that I don't need to justify my self-care; self-care is not a luxury, it's a necessity. It's funny how setting boundaries is really what self-care is about isn't it?
