Has anyone navigated the process of obtaining disaster assistance from the SBA lately? I'm looking into it and found some manuals that seem helpful. Curious to hear about others' experiences and any tips you might have.

As the Trump administration has moved forward on the layoff strategy of government employees the administration of the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program by the SBA has been severely impacted especially the large loan program. The large loan program for loans of one million dollars and above requires the review and approval of two supervisor underwriters along with the submitting loan officer. Many of the supervisors and experienced loan officers took the "early out" offered by the administration resulting in a backlog of loan applications that are months away from funding. Delays, of course, are the last thing a disaster victim should endure.
