In 2008, I launched the Firekeeper to ignite a revolution in digital marketing! With years of experience in print advertising, I recognized a critical gap: countless businesses were missing out on the digital world. Since then, I’ve teamed up with an amazing array of partners—destination marketing organizations, non-profits, higher education institutions, government entities, and dynamic small businesses—to explore, educate, and implement cutting-edge marketing techniques that are perfectly tailored for today's landscape. Together, we’re transforming ideas into powerful digital presences!
As they say, a diamond is formed under pressure! I began this because my small mountain town offered very little in terms of professional career options. I had been a small business owner, I had been in charge of print advertising for a local newspaper and our local destination marketing organization, and I knew that there was a need for a digital marketing presence in our community. I set to work educating myself in first social media marketing, and then I moved on to digital marketing with a focus on content marketing. I took on a few local clients, and my business began to grow faster than I was quite ready for. After several years of subcontracting positions, I took on the role of the Marketing Director for a national telecommunications company. In this position, I have learned so much more in terms of lead generation, content marketing, building brand awareness, analytical reporting, and so much more.
