The mission of The Calais Foundation is to empower children in the special education community with serious learning disabilities and socialization challenges reach their fullest potential in life.
Our fundraising mission is accomplished through innovative programming, information, education, grants, awareness and volunteer support for families and other organizations that serve the special needs community.
The Calais Foundation supports the prestigious Calais School, a state approved provider of special education for children with special needs located in Whippany, New Jersey. The school serves students in grades K through 12 Plus with multiple learning disabilities as well as anxiety, mood, behavior and autism spectrum disorders.
Students are referred to The Calais School by school districts, health professionals, and concerned parents throughout northern New Jersey.
The Calais Foundation was established to be the fundraising arm of The Calais School to provide programming and services that are not supported financially by the NJ Department of Education.
