Great questions, and I thank you for asking. I serve on the Community Center Board, with the vision being how to impact my community, (family, faith, municipal, etc..) The best way we have found yet is to volunteer and run the main food court for our town fair. This by far has had the biggest impact to date.
The other way is we have a Christian daycare operating out of the Community Center, with average of 90 kids in attendance. This brings a lot of interaction with the community.
I myself am volunteering to coach 8-10 year old soccer at the community park. I am convinced if we are not actively involved in the community, they will not be impacted.
