But Brian demonstrates an immediate and genuine desire to work with you to find your perfect customer, and inspires you to want to help him connect with his perfect customers as well. About Us

You've built a B2B service business on expertise and reputation. Existing clients know you're the best option. New prospects can't tell you apart from competitors who aren't as good.

That's not a marketing problem. It's a positioning problem. And more marketing won't fix it.

The market is saturated with clear, professional B2B websites. Yours might be one of them. When every competitor in your space sounds the same, buyers default to price, familiarity, or whoever showed up last. That's the Clarity Plateau. More clarity won't get you past it.

Brave Messaging is the positioning-first methodology for B2B service businesses whose expertise is invisible to the market.

Not louder marketing. Not better tactics.

Positioning that makes you the only option for the right buyers and makes the wrong buyers self-select out.

How We Got Started

I've spent 25 years in visual communication and strategic marketing watching the same thing happen. The most qualified firm loses to the most visible one. Not because the work isn't good enough. Because the market can't tell the difference.

For five years I built messaging for clients using empathy-based clarity frameworks. The work produced clarity, professional websites, real improvement. Then a pattern emerged: every B2B service website started sounding identical. Clarity stopped being a differentiator. It became the baseline.

That's what led to Brave Messaging. A positioning-first methodology for B2B service businesses whose expertise is invisible to the market it should be commanding. Not more marketing. Not better tactics. Positioning that creates a space where you're the only option for the right buyers.

I work with expertise-driven B2B firms. Focused on one thing.

I do one simple thing: I tell them something they don’t need. When a customer realizes you’re willing to shrink the job, not just grow the invoice, trust jumps immediately. That moment wows more than any freebie. His expected incremental rent increase was more of a skyrocket. Luckily his landlord was a "nice enough" guy to let him out of his lease early (so he could rent it out to a higher paying tenant). So my friend is now working from home. With jumps in rent like this, it's not improbably that small business owners may fall behind.

Strategy is the overall plan for the accomplishment of a goal. Strategy breaks down to tactics, which break down further to action. You can start that strategy by finding a market who would want to hear from you, identify who they are and what they want, where they spend their time online and offline, and then develop messaging and offers that would appeal to them. And then depending on what you found, develop the tactics and actions from there.

With anything like this, marketing or branding, I always start with defining ideal customers through customer avatars.  I would use the processes in Maria Ross's book "Branding Basics for Small Business" and then "Building a Storybrand" by Donald Miller. In all honesty, this one. I've never gotten business from LinkedIn despite time spent networking and providing quality content. I'm more likely to get solid leads from Alignable.
