Wildhorse Golf Club, one of the first golf courses in Southern Nevada, was developed by media mogul Hank Greenspun and opened in 1959. The course was once owned by Howard Hughes, who purchased it in 1968. Wildhorse, known then as Paradise Valley, was also a former PGA Tour stop in the ‘60s and ‘70s, hosting the “Sahara Invitational”. Wildhorse Golf Club has also been named The Showboat Country Club, Los Verdes, Indian Wells, and Royal Kenfield over the years. The course was re-named and branded the "Wildhorse Golf Club" in 1994.
In 2004, it's layout was redesigned and updated by golf course architects Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. Wildhorse is owned by the City of Henderson and proudly managed by Elite Golf Management Company.
